4th God and Country Celebration July 5

Again this year the Lutherans and friends gathered at Rau Wood Religious Retreat Center on Sunday, July 5 . This year's God and Country Celebration began with a brief service which recognized those who have served our country in military service. The service began at 3:30 pm. Chaplain Gary W. Phelps presented a program on Lutherans and our Nation. All American foods were provided (hot dogs, hamburgers). Attendees brought side dish items to complement the meal. The food was served at 4:30 pm. David Baulch was the chief cook serving tasty burgers and hot dogs. Thanks for your work David and thanks to all those who brought those wonderful side dishes. All Lutheran congregations were invited for some Lutheran food and fellowship. Most congregations were represented this year.
